All Of Leh – Ladakh Tour

Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh, and transfer to your hotel.

The first day is dedicated mainly to rest and acclimatization. Leh is situated at a high altitude, and allowing your body sufficient time to adjust is extremely important.

Spend the day relaxing at the hotel and enjoying the spectacular Himalayan surroundings from a comfortable altitude.

Overnight: Leh

After breakfast, begin your Leh sightseeing tour.

Visit the Shanti Stupa, one of Leh's most recognizable landmarks, offering panoramic views of Leh town and the surrounding mountains.

Continue to Leh Palace, a historic nine-storey palace showcasing traditional Ladakhi architecture and offering beautiful views over Leh.

Visit the Drass War Memorial/War Memorial area as applicable to the planned sightseeing route and continue towards the famous Rancho School, popularly associated with the movie 3 Idiots, where visitors can enjoy the iconic surroundings and take photographs.

Proceed towards Shey Palace, known for its large Buddha statue and scenic location.

Later visit Thiksey Monastery, one of the most impressive monasteries in Ladakh, built dramatically across a hillside and known for its beautiful architecture and Buddhist artwork.

Return to Leh.

Overnight: Leh

After breakfast, drive towards Nubra Valley, crossing the spectacular high-altitude mountain route towards the Khardung La region.

The journey offers dramatic views of snow-capped mountains, rugged valleys and winding Himalayan roads.

On reaching Nubra, continue towards Hunder, famous for its beautiful desert-like landscape surrounded by mountains.

Enjoy the unique cold-desert scenery and, where operational and permitted, experience a ride on the famous double-humped Bactrian camels.

Spend the evening enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of Hunder.

Overnight: Nubra/Hunder

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Turtuk, one of the most fascinating villages in the Nubra region.

Turtuk is culturally distinct from much of Ladakh and is known for its traditional homes, narrow village lanes, orchards, mountain scenery and unique Balti cultural influences.

Explore the village and interact respectfully with the local community.

Later drive back towards Nubra/Hunder.

Spend the evening relaxing amidst the mountains.

Overnight: Nubra/Hunder

After breakfast, begin your scenic drive from Nubra towards the legendary Pangong Lake.

The journey itself is an important part of the Ladakh experience, taking you through remote mountain landscapes and dramatic valleys.

On reaching Pangong, enjoy the breathtaking sight of the lake's crystal-clear blue waters surrounded by barren Himalayan mountains.

Spend the evening beside the lake and enjoy the changing colours of the water and mountains.

Overnight: Pangong

Wake up to the spectacular Himalayan landscape around Pangong Lake.

After breakfast, begin your journey back towards Leh.

En route, enjoy the changing scenery and mountain landscapes.

Reach Leh by evening and relax at the hotel.

Overnight: Leh

After breakfast, begin the scenic journey towards Kargil.

En route visit:

Gurudwara Pathar Sahib – A revered Sikh shrine located amidst the mountains.

Magnetic Hill – A popular attraction known for the optical illusion created by the surrounding landscape.

Indus–Zanskar Sangam – The spectacular confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers, where two rivers meet amidst dramatic mountain scenery.

Continue towards Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest and most visually striking monasteries in Ladakh. The surrounding landscape is famous for its unusual moon-like terrain and is popularly known as the “Moonland of Ladakh.”

Continue towards Mulbek, known for its historic Buddhist heritage and impressive rock-carved Maitreya Buddha.

Proceed to Kargil.

Overnight: Kargil

After breakfast, proceed towards Drass, known as one of the coldest inhabited places in the world during winter.

Visit the Drass War Memorial, established in memory of the Indian soldiers who fought during the Kargil War. The memorial offers an important opportunity to learn about the historic events of 1999.

After visiting Drass, begin the return journey towards Leh.

Depending on the operational route, time and road conditions, visit Alchi Monastery, one of the most important heritage sites in Ladakh, renowned for its ancient murals, sculptures and Indo-Tibetan artistic traditions.

Continue to Leh.

Important: This is a long mountain-driving day. Actual sightseeing and arrival time can vary considerably depending on road conditions, weather, traffic and permitted routes.

Overnight: Leh

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed day in Leh.
